1. A friend of mine who likes to remain nameless points out Zazzle.com, which could be the end of disposable cash as we know it. Actually, not really. I’m sure that Leland’s response will be something along the lines of “we don’t need no stinking Zazzle” — but it’s still cool. Remember, he’s a handyman.

2. Also cool: the superhuge Moleskine cahiers. Only wrote four pages in one, re-noodling through some revisions on a something… but I’m already addicted. And my mad phat math sk1llz (don’t you laugh — my father teaches thermodynamics and I have a masters in computer science, darn it) tell me that one big-ass cahier equals-equals (that’s “==” for all you nerds out there) the same amount of writing space as one of the large leather-bound numbers. Let’s see… you get three cahiers for the price of one of the other dudes… count on your fingers, carry the two… yeah, I’m down.

3. It’s after Christmas, it’s wintertime, my toes are cold, I’m grumpy. What’s the anecdote? Another mixtape, by gum. I’m going to try to whip one out this weekend. No promises on that, but a promise on “soonish”. Here’s the first one, for those who missed it. Nefarious eavesdroppers listening in: please don’t sue me.

4. Lastly but not leastly, Leland is the latest contributor to Steve Gettis’ sketch collection. You’ll have to scroll down a bit, but there you’ll find two of Leland’s homages to Sir Richard Burton. That’s Burton the dude, not Burton the actor. Tip: open each sketch in a new window so you won’t have to make with the scrolling a second time. Or third or eightieth time — there’s a lot there. Ooo! This would probably make a good contribution to the Endicott forum! Okay, I’m overdue. (Personal shout-out to Midori — it’s been chaos over here, lass.)
