… for my con report, here’s a conversation between Ted McKeever and I, which took place outside of the green room while we waited for the Tori panel to start (edited for clarity and family friendliness):
Ted: So M– and I are driving around Los Angeles, and we see this huge billboard for THE SPIRIT, right?
Me: *nod*
Ted: And we’re sitting there staring, and all it says is Frank Miller. Nothing about Will Eisner.
Me: Huh?
Ted: No “Will Eisner’s THE SPIRIT”, no nothing.
Me: *incredulous*
Ted: I couldn’t believe it. I mean, I know nobody knows who Eisner is or anything, but come on.
Me: That’s messed up.
Ted: That’s MESSED. UP.
