PLATFORM
PLATFORM is a zine that I occasionally write about my adventures busking in the New York City subways. I say “occasionally”, because I haven’t written one in a while. I self-published the original four issues between July 2002 and October 2003. I maintained a website and blog, which can still be found here. Some sample pieces are there.
So what’s the deal? Will there be another PLATFORM? That’s what everyone wants to know.
At this point, the best that I can say is “maybe”. PLATFORM was incredibly well-received, something for which I’m very grateful. But it was never intended to be more than a writing project to get me off the ground, so to speak. And lately, other projects are taking precedence.
Still, I love busking, and I know there’s a lot of potential for PLATFORM to be a bigger project than just zines. I haven’t abandoned the thought of writing a longer manuscript, but it’s not on my plate right now.
I’ll keep you all posted. In the meantime, you can order the back issues of PLATFORM at Streetfables.
